Enneagram expert Jordan Jones talks with my daughter Ellie Hiller, an enneagram 3, to help her determine her wing.
The wing is the number either before your enneagram type or after. It flanks your enneagram type number. For example, an enneagram 3 will be either a wing 2 (helper) or wing 3 (individualist).
In this episode, I talk with Jordan Jones, our Enneagram expert, to discover my daughter’s Enneagram wing and subtype. Ellie Hiller is very much an Enneagram 3, but she can’t decide if she’s more of a wing 2 or a wing 4. If you’re an Enneagram 3 and can’t decide your wing, then this episode is sure to help!
Originally, Ellie thought her wing was a 2 since she is a nurse. However, Ellie discusses how she believes being a twin could have influenced her to have 4 tendencies. She finds herself wanting to distinguish herself from the crowd and desires to be viewed as unique, which are signs of a 4 on the Enneagram. Ellie also seeks to find out what her Enneagram subtype is. We discuss her need to receive outward validation and recognition for her hard work, and what that could mean regarding her subtype.
